Makcik's Local Delicacies in Seri Manjung is a casual café-style spot that centers around serving traditional Malaysian flavors in a straightforward, no-frills setting. Located within the Manjung Point business complex, it offers a spacious and clean environment, lending itself well to small groups or families looking for a relaxed meal without the rush of typical fast-food outlets.

The café is best known for its hearty local dishes like laksa, mee kari, and set dulang options, which bundle several small plates together to showcase a variety of tastes. From sambal udang and sotong goreng tepung to roti and nasi goreng kampung, the menu covers a wide swath of familiar favorites. While the food tends to be served at a modest pace, the emphasis is clearly on comfort and the homely feel of homemade cooking rather than speedy service or elaborate presentation.

Visitors looking to enjoy a casual lunch or early dinner will appreciate the laid-back vibe, which leans towards everyday dining rather than special occasions. Locals seem to value it for its reasonably priced portions and consistent flavors, although some note that dishes may arrive lukewarm if not timed just right—calling ahead for orders is a common tip to avoid waiting during busier times.

Drinks here, including classics like teh o panas and variations of coffee, come in generous portions but can lean towards the sweeter side, reflecting local taste preferences. The environment suits those who enjoy a laid-back café experience where the focus is on familiar, comforting food rather than trendy café fare.

Given the location near entertainment spots like the TGV cinema, some visitors have dropped by for a meal before late-night shows, and the staff are accommodating even near closing hours — though ordering earlier in the evening is advisable. The space itself, being clean and spacious, comfortably handles small groups, making it a convenient pitstop for families or friends craving local flavor without the fuss.

Overall, Makcik's Local Delicacies serves as a practical and approachable place to enjoy Malaysian home-style dishes within the Seri Manjung neighborhood. It's well-suited for those who appreciate authentic local tastes in a simple setting, especially if you're willing to plan ahead to manage wait times.

Nice local food restaurant. The environment was clean and spacious. Food taste was good price is reasonable. They should improvise food too serve when still hot to taste better. The waiting time quite long so shop owner also prefer us to call and order first if come with small group or large.

I was here the first time last 2days. It was very late. We were gonna catch 11pm movies at the TGV so we came around 9.40pm and the cafe was actually gonna close at 10pm. But they still entertain us. Tq! So. We ordered set A (RM50) which has grilled sea bass, fried eggs, 2x rice, 2x cordial water, air asam and sambal belacan+cucumber slices. The order arrived quite late (took around 40mins) because i think of the sea bass cooking time, but it's fine with me. I can wait as long as it was good news. The best part of everything, was everything, . The grilled sea bass was surprisingly DELICIOUS. It was a BIG fish actually. For us 2 adults +2kids, the portion was more than enough! The air asam was so good and the sambal also was very nice too! We were surprised because not many people came here during the day. (actually we always drive the car around the area because my kid went to one of the schools nearby but we never singgah ) Maybe the cafe location was far behind. We went there actually by accident and just decided to give it a try since no other cafes were gonna accept late orders and this is the only cafe that was willing to accept us. and turned out they served nice yummy food. Yahuu! Finally found a decent cafe serving tasty traditional food. SO, WE DEFINITELY GONNA REPEAT. thanks. Sorry no pictures of food because we were rushing to finish the food and go to the movie hehe. Next time, I will make sure to snap pictures and share it here. Thanks again for the free ice cream! Good luck and keep up the good work, Makciks!

Cosy ambience but food is 'biasa'. Drinks too sweets. My girl ordered coffee called white classic, the cup was big, she cannot finished it but the sweet in there I can take it home and make another jug of coffee by just adding more coffee. There must be free sugar supplied to the restaurant .

First time eating here, first of all, Sambal Belacan absolute the best. Really proud how the taste and spiciness tingling in your mouth. About western, Friend Chicken Chop was nice, the portion quite big to be honest, they had sweet corn instead of coleslaw. The downside for western is the Black Pepper sauce. It's little too salty in my opinion. Grilled Chicken Chop is marvelous. Base on the price, completely worth it. The size, the juiciness of the chicken, really the best. About the Krispy Friend Rice, the flour mix for the chicken also gonna say its quite salty. Rice was nice, not forgot to mention, the serve 3 piece of crispy chicken too. Overall, the space is quite limited, they got outside and inside table too, atmosphere was nice, time for food to arrive is not too long, but still need to wait a bit since they really do their best in the kitchen. Recommended for those who are curious .

We were looking for good food after arriving at Marina Jetty and we found this place. Wonderful authentic kampung food in beautiful and airconditioned ambience. Very clean place. Owner superb. Easy parking. Highly recommend masak lemak daging salai and celup tepung udang and sotong.
